THE FIRST ONE IN THE WORLD.
We are excited to be part of artist Sam van Aken’s groundbreaking project. Part art, part agricultural preservation, The Tree of 40 Fruit grows over 40 different types of stone fruit including peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, cherries, and almonds. Sculpted through the process of grafting, the trees blossom in variegated tones of pink, crimson, and white in spring— in summer they bear a multitude of fruit. Primarily composed of native and antique stone fruit varieties, the trees are a form of conservation, preserving heirloom stone fruit varieties that are not commercially produced or available.
And when the trees are all planted at The Point, ours will be the only Tree of 40 Fruit grove in the world.
