Hotel Portland’s thoughtful design is intended to offer guests an experience rich with history, thoughtfully reimagined as an expression of modern Portland. The designs for the common areas, guestrooms, and restaurant and bar areas are intended to provide a hospitality experience with the poise and personality that explores contrasting elements of land and sea, tapping into the site’s historical use as a railyard and its impressive waterfront surroundings as a peninsula, as well as Portland’s status as a national destination for food and beverage experience. As such, the Property’s design will evoke a boutique feeling using an industrial-chic approach to style.
Amenities will include a fitness center, indoor pool, 1500 square feet of meeting/media room space, restaurant/bar, grab and go merchandise area, private dining room, roof terrace, and speakeasy bar. The property will also utilize the connected 34,000 square feet of event space at the adjacent building Brick South as its primary event space.

Our future home at Thompson’s Point in Portland will double our size, introduce innovative exhibits, connect us closely with Maine’s natural habitats, and position us to dramatically increase our impact on the learning and development of more children.The re-imagined Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine will serve as both a community hub and an educational resource to support children and caregivers. Using an educational framework based upon play, family, and inclusivity, the Museum & Theatre will continue to focus on four key content areas: early Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM); community engagement; performing and visual arts; and early childhood education.
